Adaptation of the ceilings in Waldorf kindergarten in Prague 6, Czech republic
The intention was to improve the acoustics in the classroom, where human voice and singing is used during the education process. The goal was to eliminate echo and soften the interpretation of the timbre. This was achieved by asymmetric solution of the chamfers and by rounding the corners between walls and ceilings. The chamfer angle is based on the quint ratio (2: 3). The timbre, which is carried through the rooms adapted this way is suitable for children in their first seven years.
